Aiso:鮎宗

A long-established culinary inn that has been in business for over 100 years, located on the banks of the Uji River, a 3-minute walk from Byodo-in Temple.

[Specialty unagino iimushi (steamed eel rice)]
iimushi is steamed eel rice.
It is served with savory eel kabayaki on a sauce made of Japanese pepper, wrapped in bamboo skin and steamed.
It is a specialty and very delicious.
