Shinpukusaikan/新福菜館Honten(main shop)/本店
“Shinpukusaikan” is said to be a long-established Kyoto ramen shop. The ramen is characterized by its black soup, which is very famous as a shop that became the origin of Kyoto ramen. There is a ramen shop “Daiichi Asahi” next to it.
Founded in 1938. At first it is a long-established ramen shop that started with a stall.
A shop that laid the foundation for Kyoto’s ramen culture. It is an important famous store to tell the history of Kyoto ramen. It is still overwhelmingly popular, and the line is endless. It is a long line especially during lunch and evening.
This head shop is about a 5-minute walk from Hachijo Exit of Kyoto Station.
In addition, the company operates stores not only in Kyoto but also in the Kansai area. A branch is also opening in Tokyo.
Soup
The soup made by blending chicken oil and pork bone-based broth with secret oily sauce is surprisingly refreshing, not black but salty. You can fully enjoy the taste and depth of various ingredients.
Vivid Kujo green onions are plenty of toppings.
Noodle
The noodles are slightly thick straight. There is a chewy texture and the throat is outstanding.
What I want to eat with ramen is “Yakimeshi”. It is fried in the same soy sauce sauce as ramen, and despite its dark color, it is surprisingly light. The burnt aroma of soy sauce is irresistible!
